Community Outreach
Our core and affiliate members are actively involved with outreach activities and our community partners. Some of our members are board members or collaborate with: Georgia Department of Human Resources Injury Prevention Section, Injury Free Coalition for Kids in Atlanta, Georgia Safe Kids, Partnership Against Domestic Violence, Men Stopping Violence, Womens Resource Center, Metropolitan Atlanta Violence Prevention Partnership, and many other groups. We also participate in local activities such as the Youth Trauma Prevention Day at Grady Memorial Hospital.
We are active internationally through our involvement as a World Health Organization Collaborating Center and through our programs in injury prevention and acute care in India, the Republic of Georgia, Mozambique, and other countries. In conjunction with our NIH-Fogarty fellowship with Mozambique, we just graduated the first class of fellows and the second class of fellows have been selected and enrolled in the program.
