Community Engagement Committee

"I am passionate about helping teens learn about building healthy relationships to change social norms regarding teen dating violence." - Jackie Davis, Jane Fonda Center/Start Strong Atlanta (CEC member)

The purpose of this committee is to promote linkages with the community; this committee includes leaders and practitioners who work in metro Atlanta and throughout Georgia. Health district representatives and the heads or representatives of key injury-related non-profit organizations also serve on this committee. In the spirit of community-based participatory model and promoting the research to practice link, the CEC meets bi-annually to provide input into creating a research and knowledge translation agenda that is relevant and useful to local communities.
